The brand of the longest-running construction exhibition in Lithuania has been updated: will the content also change?

As the 30th International Construction and Housing Solutions Exhibition “RESTA 2025” approaches, its organizers have unveiled a renewed brand for the exhibition. According to them, it symbolizes moving in step with the rapidly changing and modernizing construction industry and the desire to show that construction is a broad and diverse topic that is relevant to many.

"Lithuanians have a kind of builder gene and love to build or at least dream about new housing projects, which is why the RESTA exhibition is one of the most visited in Lithuania. This year, we not only updated the exhibition's brand, but also expanded the content to reflect the latest trends in construction, interior and housing solutions," say representatives of LITEXPO.

The exhibition, which will take place on April 24-26, 2025, promises to attract not only construction professionals, but also the general public planning a home renovation or wanting to get acquainted with the latest construction and repair solutions. It will focus not only on construction itself, energy efficiency of buildings, but also on interior, furniture and design solutions that reflect the importance of sustainability and innovation in modern life.

"In the future, it seems that every building in Lithuania will also be a power plant, because it will necessarily produce electricity in some way, and the owner of the building will be an energy engineer in a certain sense," says Dalius Gedvilas, president of the Lithuanian Builders' Association. According to him, the topic of energy sustainability of buildings is just one of many that will be discussed at the RESTA 2025 exhibition.

Speaking about energy decentralization, D. Gedvilas notes that solar power plants built on land reduce the area available for agriculture. “At global conferences, I often hear the idea that solar power plants should be built on existing structures. For example, a parking lot is also a structure, so a solar power plant could be built on it, which would also be a carport,” points out the president of the Lithuanian Builders Association.

In turn, interior designer Dovas Serapinas, who curates the new interior elements and solutions hall of the RESTA 2025 exhibition, notes that the synergy between the fields of construction and interior design is finally coming to the Lithuanian market.

"People who build houses often think about the interior only later, but this causes many problems. If architects and designers collaborate from the very beginning, misunderstandings can be avoided," emphasizes D. Serapinas.

According to him, this is still a common mistake in Lithuania - people design and build the architectural part of the house first, saying that they only have so much money and time now, so they will think about the interior later. But if architectural and interior design solutions are not synchronized, additional problems arise.

"People, after looking at beautiful images online, dream of Instagram-worthy bathrooms with large freestanding cast stone bathtubs and glass windows, but later when designing the interior, this becomes impossible due to the mismatched primary architecture," the designer points out.

The exhibition organizers announce that the exhibition "RESTA 2025" will not only examine many relevant topics or present a variety of expositions, but will also host a number of thematic events and conferences for both professionals and the general public. Among them is the largest construction-themed and innovation conference in the country "Digital Construction", attracting about 400 participants.

As every year, the "Professional Mastery Competition" will be held during the exhibition, which is organized by vocational training centers together with the Lithuanian Builders' Association. It will feature teams not only from Lithuania, but also from neighboring countries.

"This event is always of great interest to heads of contracting organizations, because this way they can discover the most talented craftsmen, whom they later try to attract to their companies," says D. Gedvilas.

More than 300 companies from around the world are expected to participate in the renewed LITEXPO exhibition RESTA, which will take place on April 24-26 next year. It is expected to attract more than 30,000 construction industry professionals and visitors planning to build or improve their dream home.
